My Favourite Beauty Reward Cards...

If you live in the UK, and you love beauty, you should have heard of these cards before. With January being the tightest month moneywise for me as we get paid early in December and have to make it through to the last day of January, these have become little saviours! Here is a run down of my four favourite cards and what rewards they offer.

Boots Advantage Card
This card in my opinion is the best reward card around, you can collect 4 points for every £1 you spend in store or online. You can also opt to receive points coupons through the post which can sometimes be for double points or a certain number of points if you reach a threshold spend (£20 for example, could get you an extra 200 points). The points equate to pennies that you can spend instore or online so if, for example you have 500 points on your card, this means you have £5 to spend. The only downside is that you can't "part pay" so you have to have the total amount of points on your card for the item you want to buy, but other that that it's great! I have had my advantage card since I was about 14 (which is a very long time ago now!) and it came in very handy for buying meal deals when I was totally broke!

Debenhams Beauty Club Card
This card is probably the one I reach for next after my Boots card, and offers 1 point per £1 you spend if the transaction is less than £25 and 3 points per £1 spent if its over £25 if purchasing in store. If shopping online you can receive 5 points per £1 spent and most of the time I have received codes to get free delivery. I am constantly receiving emails full of offers and information on 10% off days. The only downside to this card is that you have to reach a total of £5 on your card before you can use it to redeem on an item. I have been stuck on £4 something for ages but desperately want to use the £5 on the Naked 3 palette (I might just have to buy myself a little something extra, you know, just so I can get the discount!)

Superdrug Beauty Card
This is a reward card I only really use if I find myself in a Superdrug as opposed to Boots. I much prefer shopping in Boots because of their points deals but sometimes, if I can't get what I want, I'll pop over the road to Superdrug. The Superdrug reward card offers 1 point per £1 spend, so it's not the most rewarding, reward card! Every 100 points earns you £1 to spend in store and you can part pay with this card so if you had 400 points on your card and your item was £3.22 you could choose to use 100 points to get £1 off, 200 points for £2 off and then pay the difference. Also the best thing about this card is that on one side, it's a mirror!

Space NK N.dulge Card
The Space NK card gives you 1 point for every £1 you spend. When you reach 100 points you receive a £5 N.centive reward which you can put towards more lovely products. I have no hope in reaching my £5 reward anytime soon but I like to keep this card in my purse as a just in case (you never know when someone might be feeling generous!) You also receive offers via email or post and in your birthday month they send you a birthday treat! I love the sleek black design on this card too, it looks very sophisticated in my purse!

There are lots of other rewards cards out there that I haven't mentioned in this post but these are definitely my most reached for.

What reward card do you use the most?

  1. I only really use my Boots & SpaceNK cards. I don't often shop in Superdrug although I do have their card. I am tempted to pick up a Debenhams one too

  4. I have to agree with you that the Boots card is the best one. I only have Boots and Superdrug ones and my Superdrug one only really comes in handy when I've forgotten my pocket mirror on the move!
