March Overview

I'm a day late with this post as I realised that my March favourites had to go up yesterday and I had no more March days left to squeeze this in so I'm popping it up today - sorry!

March has definitely been a month of both new products and rediscovering old favourites. I've completely fallen in love with the HealGel Face serum which I reviewed a while back and found my old Sleek blush in Mirrored Pink which has made its way back into my make up bag after being stuck in a drawer unloved for months. I've also been putting a lot of thought into my current make up storage which I think needs updating. I'm hoping to take a trip to Ikea soon to check out some Alex drawers and a Malm dressing table.

When I visited family at the beginning of the month, I finally picked up the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and have been using it almost everyday since. I've also changed up my make up bag to include lots of lovely spring products. When I visited Meadowhall shopping centre (which has the biggest MAC counter I have ever seen!) I was prompted to take a look at my own MAC collection and chat about my lipstick collection and rediscovered a beautiful Baking Beauties powder that I just didn't want to use as it was so pretty!

There has been quite a lot of nail polish love on the blog this month, where I picked out my favourite spring shades from Model's Own and bought a couple of new spring polishes including Naked Glow from the Model's Own HyperGel collection and Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

I also took part in several tag posts throughout March including 'The Blogger Love Tag' and my friend Becca's 'Makeup Mishaps Tag'. If you haven't given either of these a go, I'd get stuck in straight away.

Nothing much has really happened life wise in March, it's been quite nice to be able to sit down and read my Blogosphere magazine and stuff my face with Cadbury's Mini Eggs! I'm definitely looking forward to Easter! As it's been quite quiet, I've been working on my photography and although it's far from perfect, I'm pretty pleased with the results I have so far. I would like to invest in a Canon 600D or equivalent at some point as I would love to improve the quality of my photos even more.

Next month is going to be pretty tight moneywise, which means I have to be really conscious of the products I buy. April always seems to be a pretty big bill month with the TV license, gas/electric, home insurance and car MOT all coming at the same time and for some reason we never seem to prepare for it all, even though we know it's coming! Whoops!

What have been your March highlights?

  2. I can't believe it's April already.
You're making me peckish talking about Cadbury mini eggs, I need to make some chocolate cornflake cake/nests soon.
My March highlight is probably finally being able to walk home form work again because there's still daylight out at 5.30. It's the little things :p
