This weekend just gone, saw my second trip in a row to London, this time for a spot of shopping and the Winter Wonderland Blogger Meetup.
On Saturday afternoon, Becca and I arrived in London to meet Jaye and we headed towards Westfields. As you can imagine being a few weeks before Christmas it was absolutely heaving but we still managed to pop into a few shops. I loved the Yankee Candle shop and purchased a tart burner and a few YC tarts (which have now safely been put away for me to open at Christmas. They'll be more on that soon!) I also popped into the Model's Own bottle shop as I had never been to one before but this time I didn't pick anything up.
After we headed back to Jaye's flat in Wembley and cosied up with some Dominoes pizza, nail polish session and a good old blog natter whilst watching Mean Girls!
On Sunday we were invited to attend the #WWMeetup at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park which was organised by Islay. We all met up at 11am and then headed in, there were about 12 of us bloggers who made it to the meet up and after all saying hello we split into several groups to make it easier to wander round. There were so many stalls and rides and a big ice skating rink in the middle which we watched for a while (mostly to see if anyone would fall over!)
We were due to meet up with everyone again at 1pm for lunch but after stopping somewhere to get cash, Jaye realised she didn't have her debit card so had to pop home to get it. I needed cash too so Becca and I popped out to nearby Oxford Street to find a cash machine (that didn't charge £2.50!) and wait for Jaye. We headed to Starbucks in Selfridges so I could try another festive drink (this was now my third!) and had a Toffee Nut Latte which was lovely!
Whilst we were in Selfridges we visited their Christmas department (which has the most adorable name, Elfridges!) checking out the decorations. How lovely is the tree from The White Company?
When Jaye got back we realised that everyone had gone to lunch from the meet up so we tried to find somewhere to eat too and found ourselves at Burgers & Cocktails (you can read my post about my first visit here). After a bit more shopping on Regent's Street, it was then time to head to Victoria to get the coach home. I can't believe how quickly the time went and I was absolutely exhausted by the time I got back to Bournemouth at 8pm!
I had a lovely weekend, and thank-you Jaye for letting us stay with you!
Have you been to Winter Wonderland yet?
