Lush Ultrabland Review

As soon as this little pot popped up on my Lush Haul (which you can read here) a few requests came in for a review so today I'm sharing my thoughts on this little cleanser. I picked up the smaller 45g pot which costs £6.95 as I wanted to give it a go first before taking the plunge just in case I didn't like it but it also comes in a bigger 100g tub for £10.95.

My very first thought as soon as I opened the tub was oooh I don't really like the smell! As the name suggests it was, well bland, not like the usual Lush scrummyness! I could get a faint scent of beeswax and honey which isn't overly appealing to me. This obviously put me slightly off putting it all over my face but I wasn't prepared to be put off just by the smell and gave it a go and so far it's love!

I've been using it for about a week now and it's still hardly made a dent in the top of the pot, a little goes a really long way. I still use my first love, Bioderma to remove most of my make up but I know other people who use it as a make up remover and say it works really well. It has an oily consistency when you apply it to your face and doesn't have any colour at all once applied. I leave mine on for about 5 minutes and then use a muslin cloth and warm water to remove it. My skin feels super soft afterwards and feels clean (if that makes sense!) The rosewater and beeswax combine to capture dirt and grime and make it really easy to wipe away.

At the moment I'm only using it at night (and still using my Liz Earle in the mornings) but once that runs out I'm going to switch to using this morning and night. I've found that using this combined with Grease Lightning has really cleared up my face during breakouts, which I feel have ultimately been less because of using these two products.

Have you tried Ultrabland before?
