Rimmel Apocalips - Galaxy

I don't think I'd be classed as a beauty blogger if I didn't write a review on the long awaited release of Rimmel's latest lipgloss collection called Apocalips.

I bought two from Rimmel's Facebook page in their online shop before their release but they didn't arrive until after the release date in the shops :( - cue me getting very irate and wanting to go down to the shops to try them straight away. I was good though and waited! 

I bought the shades Galaxy and Celestial but I've only opened Galaxy as I'm giving Celestial away in my 100 follower giveaway which you can enter here (hurry , there are only a few days left to enter).

The first thing I noticed and I'm not sure if this just the Galaxy shade was the smell. It had a really strong smell but I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like! At first I was a bit put off by it but I now actually quite like it. Do you have others that have a strong smell?

Rimmel claim that the gloss will last all day but I didn't find this at all. It stays on for a while but after a while it just stained my lips and this lasted a little while longer before I had to reapply. I really like the shade though and several people at work commented on it which gave me big smiles for the whole day!

I really like the colour of Galaxy, its got a purple tint to it and I think it suits my hair colour and skin tone.

I've swatched the colour on my hand so you can get an idea of the shade.

Apocalips currently retail at £5.99 each and there are 8 different shades. Boots are offering 3 for 2 on all Apocalips which is really handy if you're after a few shades.
