If you're a bit of a Disney fan like me then you may have already heard about this, but for those of you who haven't, today I'm going to tell you how to get free Disney DVD's/Blu Rays. At this point, I would like to say that this post is in no way sponsored, I'm just a sucker for a freebie or a good bargain, remember the post I did on boosting your Boots advantage card points too?
Firstly, you need to find all of your existing Disney DVDs or Blu Rays, open them up and inside on the left hand side there may be an insert which has a big Disney Movie Rewards logo on it (don't worry if you can't find one, not all titles have them).
Next you need to register an account on the Disney Movie Rewards website. Once you've done that you can enter the codes found on the insert sheets (plus the product barcode) which equate to points - and what do points make? Prizes! If you have an eligible title you can get up to 100 points for a DVD and 150 points for a Blu Ray. If you have video games and CD's you can also collect points on these too (but I only have DVD's and Blu Rays). Once you've built up enough points you can go to the rewards page and pick out your free rewards! DVD's start from 500 points and Blu Ray's start from 700 points.
When I first joined the site you could get as many rewards as you had points for but they have now changed it to three redemptions per member but that's still three DVD's or Blu Rays you would have to have bought!
There are also lots of free items on the website too, like screensavers, activity packs and stickers which are ideal for entertaining children.
We have manged to get quite a few free items from the website, including Tron Legacy, Bolt and both Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 on DVD and Ratatouille and Cars 2 on Blu Ray. The delivery is quick and I had mine arrive within a week. I currently only have 50 points left but am going to save up another 450 to get Oliver & Company on DVD.
Have you used Disney Movie Rewards before or will you now?
I've used the movie rewards a few times now! Claimed quite a few DVD's, currently saving up for Oliver and Co too :)
